Design Inspiration for the Asht ring by Navio Designs

Design Inspiration for the Asht ring

The Asht ring is the simplest of all designs I have ever made. It is not hard to see that it was inspired by a simple lock nut. I first designed this during my university days, when I made designs of jewelry, furniture, auto parts & practically anything that could fetch me some extra pocket money by selling those designs to local businesses. The Asht ring was modeled after a 6 faced lock nut, but later changed to 8 faces/sides. The name 'Asht', was chosen as a reference to the god of wealth in Indian mythology, who is fabled to have 8 avatars. I love the simplicity and minimalism of this ring. The soft edges and faces reflect light in different directions creating different shades on each face. This sure is a simple addition to any outfit.
